ISGF goes social on the web
Facebook and Twitter are two of the most used and useful internet Social Networking tools. Facebook is a social networking website with more than 500 million active users. And for years also ISGF is using it to network our members and I believe also friends of Adult Scouting and Guiding. Currently, in August 2010, we have 2.359 members.
You are warmly invited to join us. Register on Facebook http://www.facebook.com, sign in, type »ISGF« in Search field, join the conversations and share your ideas, photos, videos, useful links.
Recently ISGF World Committee established also Twitter account. Twitter is also social networking and micro blogging service that enables its users to send and read other user's messages called “tweets”. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters. Micro isn’t it, but enough to send a good idea, link, photo or just a good wish to your fellow on the other part of the world. So register on Twitter (http://twitter.com), sign in and follow tweets from ISGF. We will follow you as well and share your tweets on our Twitter page. You can find ISGF Twitter on http://twitter.com/isgf_aisg
ISGF is part of a more and more networked world. Sure “face to face” communication is the most important for Scouts and Guides, but not always possible. For meeting our brothers and sisters worldwide, we can and in my opinion must use all possible means. Social tools are great. Check them frequently.
